Responsibilities
- Design and execute comprehensive test strategies covering test cases, scenarios, automation, and code coverage.
- Research, evaluate, and develop testing tools, frameworks, and automation solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for web applications, APIs, and web services using Playwright, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
- Perform API testing with Postman and validate behavior across HTTP, HTML, DOM, XML, and JavaScript-based technologies.
- Develop object-oriented test software and reusable automation components.
- Create technical documentation, design artifacts, and diagrams for test architecture and automation solutions.
- Build and maintain CI/CD test automation pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Collaborate with developers, DevOps engineers, and QA teams to improve testability, scalability, and quality.
- Participate in code reviews and promote maintainable, reusable, high-quality automation code.
- Provide direct oversight of the test automation team and independently lead testing initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or an engineering discipline.
- At least five years of recent software development experience.
- Experience designing and creating automation frameworks and using the Page Object Model.
- Expertise creating test scenarios at system, subsystem, product, and feature levels.
- Proficiency coding and debugging in TypeScript or JavaScript using Playwright.
- Deep understanding of API testing with Postman.
- Experience with cloud-native technologies, preferably AWS.
- Experience using user stories and providing estimates in an Agile environment.
- Understanding of object-oriented software design, software design principles, test design, and the test life cycle.
- Experience deploying CI/CD processes using Jenkins or another CI tool.
- Preferred experience with React, Jest, Selenium, Terraform, Ansible, and SQL.
- Ability to develop complex SQL queries.
