Responsibilities
- Design and build DevOps, SRE, and platform-engineering capabilities from scratch.
- Establish GitOps-based deployment, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, automation, and reliability practices.
- Build and operate Kubernetes platforms and container-orchestration systems across cloud environments.
- Support internet-facing production services through deployments, on-call support, incident management, incident response, root-cause analysis, and reliability improvements.
- Manage machine-learning model lifecycles in production and non-production environments.
- Implement telemetry, monitoring, observability, anomaly detection, and performance optimization.
- Troubleshoot Kubernetes issues from both operating-system and application perspectives.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams and external supply-chain partners.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure-focused roles.
- Experience designing and building DevOps platforms end-to-end and from scratch.
- Experience with GitOps deployment models such as ArgoCD or Flux and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Experience building and operating Kubernetes platforms such as EKS, AKS, GKE, or OpenShift.
- Experience supporting large-scale distributed systems and internet-facing production services.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages, including Python, and strong programming experience in Java for backend, middleware, or web applications.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Grafana, and Prometheus, including distributed tracing, SLO/SLI design, and error budgets.
- Experience with Oracle or other relational databases and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, or DynamoDB.
- Experience tuning application and database performance.
- Knowledge of HTTP/S, TCP, DNS, web-application load balancing, authentication, authorization, encryption, SSL/TLS, SSH/SFTP, PKI, X.509 certificates, and PGP.
- Preferred experience with Kubernetes orchestration internals, middleware platforms such as WebMethods Integration Server, multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments, and service meshes such as Istio or Linkerd.
- Strong problem-solving, architectural, communication, teamwork, and technical-leadership skills.
