Responsibilities
- Implement and optimize scalable components of distributed systems under senior-engineer guidance.
- Configure and test retries, circuit breakers, timeouts, redundancy, replication, and failover mechanisms.
- Build and maintain testing, telemetry, dashboards, alarming, and alerting configurations.
- Create and execute runbooks, operational procedures, fault-injection tests, and brown-out scenarios.
- Diagnose operational issues, run automation scripts, participate in on-call rotations, and assist with incident response and root-cause investigations.
- Assist with security controls, remediation plans, cloud compliance documentation, infrastructure-as-code tools, and change management.
- Track work, adjust priorities, collaborate with stakeholders, and contribute to process improvements.
