Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality architecture, design specifications, and detailed technical designs for web and mobile products.
- Develop complex framework components and integrations across multiple systems, devices, and platforms.
- Deliver proofs of concept and estimates for integrations and technology choices.
- Guide senior engineers and lead software design and code reviews for quality and standards adherence.
- Mentor team members and collaborate across teams on interoperability, training, and consultation.
- Propose solutions balancing risk, complexity, and effort, and participate in the software lifecycle from design through release.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- 12+ years of enterprise product development experience.
- Strong programming, debugging, object-oriented development, and software design skills.
- Mandatory knowledge of XML and web services, including RESTful APIs, SOAP, WSDL, XML Schema, and XPath.
- Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and at least one JavaScript framework such as AngularJS, Backbone, or React.
- Expertise in web-based platform and application development, responsive design, and mobile and enterprise performance and security.
- Expertise with SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and HANA databases.
- Experience with npm, Grunt, Node.js, or another build tool.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycles, Agile development processes, and software estimation.
- Preferred experience in content management and with OpenText products.
- Strong communication and time-management skills.
