Responsibilities
- Build and maintain innovative product features across Sezzle’s platform.
- Collaborate with feature owners and engineers to improve product design and implementation.
- Participate in design and architecture discussions, code reviews, and hands-on development.
- Continuously build and deploy scalable solutions with the team.
- Mentor engineers who are beginning their careers.
- Assist with project planning, estimation, and completion.
Requirements
- 3–7 years of software engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Demonstrated ability to solve technical problems as part of a team.
- Required experience with Claude or equivalent large language model tools.
- Familiarity with modern frontend development and preferred experience with React.
- Ability to solve backend problems using Go or a similar compiled, statically typed language.
- Intermediate understanding of relational databases such as MySQL.
- Preferred knowledge of automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Preferred familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservice architecture, software engineering tools, development methodology, and release processes.
