Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend applications and services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build scalable microservices integrating with internal platforms, data stores, and dependent services.
- Deploy and enhance AWS-based solutions with attention to reliability, security, observability, and performance.
- Implement APIs, service integrations, and asynchronous processing for high-volume transactional workflows.
- Troubleshoot production issues, analyze root causes, and deliver stability and performance improvements.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, engineers, and adjacent teams on technical designs, service contracts, and dependencies.
- Contribute to code reviews, design discussions, technical documentation, release planning, deployment validation, and post-release monitoring.
- Guide implementation decisions, share technical knowledge, and support maintainable engineering practices.
- Contribute to monitoring, alerting, operational readiness, workflow automation, and development-efficiency improvements.
Requirements
- 4 to 9 years of software engineering experience in backend development, distributed systems, or related application development.
- Hands-on production experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience designing, developing, and supporting microservices architectures in production.
- Working knowledge of AWS services and cloud-native deployment patterns.
- Experience building and consuming service APIs and integrating service-based systems.
- Understanding of software design principles, object-oriented programming, testing practices, debugging, and version control.
- Experience working in iterative development environments with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to analyze technical issues, communicate clearly, and contribute practical, maintainable solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
