Base Salary
$294k - $335k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and evangelize technical vision for a domain and translate complex problems into practical solutions.
- Ensure the quality of technical designs and implementations, including performance, scalability, and operability.
- Modernize monolithic systems into microservice architectures and event-driven platforms.
- Define long-term platform strategy and API standards with engineering and architecture leaders.
- Provide hands-on technical contribution while mentoring engineers and strengthening technical expertise.
- Lead cross-divisional projects, architectural reviews, and technology best-practice initiatives.
- Create communications, code samples, blog posts, and other materials to share technical knowledge.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 7 years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture, enterprise architecture and design patterns, cloud computing, and data architecture.
- Preferred master's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
- Preferred 10+ years of experience with web technologies, distributed HPC and ML systems, cloud computing, and data architecture.
- Preferred 10+ years of professional coding experience with languages such as Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, or Scala.
- Preferred 8+ years of experience with databases and database management systems.
- Preferred 10+ years of full system-development lifecycle experience, from conception through production support.
- Preferred experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred experience with networking protocols, third-party distributed-system integration, mentoring senior engineers, cross-domain architectural reviews, and coding and design standards.
- Expertise in the strategic application of agentic AI coding tools is preferred.

- Full-time annual salary ranges vary by location, including $244,700-$279,200 for the sales territory and $293,600-$335,100 in New York and San Francisco; the role may also include performance-based incentive compensation.
