Base Salary
$174k - $252k/yr
Responsibilities
- Write and test product or system development code.
- Design and implement recommendation-system models across different domains.
- Build, deploy, evaluate, optimize, and debug ML systems using ML infrastructure.
- Contribute to software and recommendation-system architecture design.
- Collaborate with peers and stakeholders through design and code reviews.
- Maintain documentation and educational content based on product updates and user feedback.
- Triage, analyze, track, and resolve product or system issues affecting hardware, networks, services, and quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Five years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
- Three years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
- One year of experience with software design and architecture.
- Three years of experience building and deploying production recommendation-system models, including retrieval, prediction, ranking, personalization, search quality, or embeddings, and experience building architecture.
- Three years of experience with ML infrastructure, including model deployment, model evaluation, optimization, data processing, or debugging.
- One year of experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or JAX.
- Preferred: master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: five years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred: experience developing accessible technologies.
- Preferred: understanding of modern recommendation architectures, such as two-tower models and sequential user modeling, and integration of large foundation models into ranking and retrieval stacks.
