Responsibilities
- Develop and improve low-latency streaming technology for Windows virtual desktop experiences on mixed reality devices.
- Design tools and techniques to analyze and improve end-to-end streaming visual quality and responsiveness.
- Create, optimize, debug, refactor, and reuse code to improve performance, maintainability, effectiveness, and ROI.
- Identify dependencies, develop technical design documents, and collaborate with stakeholders on requirements and project or release plans.
- Serve as a Designated Responsible Individual, monitor systems for degradation or downtime, and coordinate restoration actions.
- Improve product availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, performance, monitoring, and operations at scale.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field and technical engineering experience coding with a focus on C++, or equivalent experience.
- Strong C++ development and debugging skills.
- Preferred experience developing, debugging, profiling, and optimizing code on Windows and Android hardware platforms.
- Preferred experience with operating-system networking stacks.
- Preferred real-time graphics experience with D3D12 or Vulkan.
- Preferred experience with video codecs and low-latency, high-throughput video encoding and decoding.
- Preferred experience applying machine learning to networking or video/audio.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment on a shared codebase.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
Benefits
- Base pay range of €90,100.00–€152,500.00 per year in Germany.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.

- The role requires passing the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter.
