Base Salary
$160k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement autonomous or human-in-the-loop AI agents with multi-step reasoning, tool calls, planning, and control logic.
- Design, build, harden, and deploy MCP servers for external SaaS and internal Placer tools.
- Build secure OAuth and credential-management infrastructure and establish connector security, deployment, logging, and access-control standards.
- Triage connector requests and bugs, prioritize rollout-critical work, and guide teams on self-service versus engineering support.
- Develop and maintain Cowork plugins and Claude skills for workflows across Marketing, Operations, and Data.
- Clean up and restructure Databricks BI data, build ingestion pipelines, and make internal data reliable for AI use.
- Create usage-tracking and insight tools for measuring internal AI adoption and high-value use cases.
- Optimize compute, storage, networking, platform performance, and cost while implementing identity, encryption, and compliance controls.
Requirements
- 8+ years of backend engineering experience.
- Experience with MCP servers, LLM tool use, or AI agent frameworks.
- Prior experience in data engineering or analytics tooling.
- Understanding of REST APIs, OAuth 2.0, credential management, and Google Cloud authentication patterns including gcloud and service accounts.
- Experience deploying services to Kubernetes or equivalent container infrastructure.
- Familiarity with Databricks or similar data warehouses/data lakes is a plus.
- Ability to work in an evolving AI platform environment without an established playbook.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to translate business requests into engineering requirements.
- Ability to navigate competing priorities across architecture, AI enablement, and business teams.
- Demonstrated use of AI tools and comfort integrating generative AI into daily workflows are nice-to-have qualifications.
