Base Salary
$173k - $203k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build product-based implementations that fulfill, audit, measure, and enforce Trust & Safety policies.
- Develop tools and leverage industry solutions to investigate and mitigate fraud, billing anomalies, credential abuse, and related threats.
- Help establish the Trust & Safety Engineering domain, including product architecture and operational processes.
- Build scalable systems supporting internal and external users and workflows.
- Mentor engineers, review architectures, and establish design patterns.
- Drive complex projects across planning, specification, execution, measurement, and post-launch maintenance.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver sustainable solutions.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience, including at least 1 year working on Trust & Safety systems and at least 1 year helping launch a new project or team.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with technical and non-technical groups.
- Full-stack experience building modern SQL or NoSQL database-backed web applications.
- Knowledge and experience with microservice development.
- Demonstrated ownership of mentoring, architecture reviews, and establishing design patterns.
- Experience driving the full development lifecycle from planning and specification through execution, success measurement, and post-launch maintenance.
- Examples of delivering complex projects with sustainable results.
- Startup experience is preferred.
- Experience developing SaaS applications on Amazon Web Services is preferred.
- Experience with products requiring high reliability or accuracy is preferred.
- On-call experience and the ability to independently investigate and resolve complex issues are preferred.
- Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and Kafka is preferred.
