Responsibilities
- Maintain the reliability, performance, and availability of PhonePe infrastructure and services
- Implement IT operations best practices to keep services always up and available
- Use open-source technologies, tools, and cloud services across infrastructure operations
- Participate actively in the on-call rotation schedule
- Operate and support Linux networking, databases, automation, configuration management, and private cloud environments
Requirements
- At least 4 years of Linux/Unix administration experience and extensive field experience
- Working knowledge of computer networking and Linux networking with IP, iptables, and IPsec
- Experience with open-source technologies, cloud services, IT operations, and private cloud environments
- Experience working with MySQL; MariaDB and Percona experience is a plus
- Coding and scripting experience, preferably with Perl, Python, or Golang
- Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as SaltStack
- Effective English communication skills and willingness to participate in an on-call rotation
- Preferred experience with KVM/QEMU, container orchestration, NoSQL databases such as Aerospike, Galera cluster operations, and data center activities
