Responsibilities
- Develop and refine end-to-end system features spanning user experience and backend code.
- Build scalable web applications and Node.js services using JavaScript/TypeScript APIs.
- Design and integrate RESTful APIs, databases, and event-driven asynchronous systems.
- Use approved AI coding assistants for code generation, refactoring, debugging, and testing, while validating security, correctness, performance, and dependency risks.
- Integrate LLM APIs with structured outputs, retrieval-augmented generation, streaming responses, timeouts, retries, and asynchronous error handling.
- Evaluate AI response quality, latency, cost, prompt-injection resistance, and sensitive-data handling.
- Collaborate with multiple teams, make technical decisions, provide solutions, and act as a subject matter expert.
- Lead best-practice efforts, improve team productivity and quality, and mentor junior team members.
- Apply knowledge of capital markets, securities, trading, portfolio management, investment operations, and related financial services processes.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in Node.js.
- Proficiency in Node.js and experience with server-side development and scalable web applications.
- Strong understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.
- Familiarity with RESTful API design and integration.
- Knowledge of database systems and data modeling.
- Experience with version control systems and collaborative development workflows.
- Hands-on experience with approved coding assistants, context-rich prompting, generated-code review, and automated test validation.
- Ability to integrate LLM APIs into Node.js services and work with structured outputs, retrieval-augmented generation, streaming, retries, timeouts, and asynchronous errors.
- Ability to evaluate AI response quality, latency, cost, prompt-injection resistance, and sensitive-data handling.
- Knowledge of capital markets and investment management across securities, trading, portfolio management, investment operations, and related financial services.
- 15 years of full-time education is required.
