Python Backend Developer

- Build backend features for reference data management, configuration surfaces, lookup and search services, and administrative functions.
- Implement REST APIs with schemas, validation, and error handling.
- Write and verify SQL for owned endpoints.
- Integrate databases using ORM mappings, sessions, and transactions.
- Build reference-data loaders and validation for straightforward feeds.
- Write automated tests for delivered code.
- Create operational scripts for reconciliation checks, backfills, and test data.
- Investigate defects by reproducing, isolating, proposing fixes, and verifying solutions.
Requirements
- 1–5 years of professional Python experience in a backend context.
- Working knowledge of PostgreSQL and SQL development, including transaction guarantees.
- Practical experience with REST API concepts and a web framework such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Experience with ORM technology, ideally SQLAlchemy, and awareness of asynchronous Python.
- Familiarity with Git, code-review workflows, and automated testing practices.
- Ability to navigate an unfamiliar codebase and work from a specification.
- Typed Python, schema validation, message queues, or scheduled jobs are desirable.
- MCA, B.E., B.Tech, or M.Tech qualification.
