Responsibilities
- Build flexible, auditable approval workflows configured through natural language.
- Develop an intelligent collections agent that autonomously runs configured payment reminder and escalation workflows.
- Scale billing infrastructure for an order of magnitude more throughput while balancing storage, performance, scalability, and cost.
- Design systems that process high-velocity event streams and maintain reliability for revenue-critical operations.
- Own work end to end, from identifying what to build through shipping and ensuring it works for customers.
- Contribute to architecture and technical decisions as the engineering team grows.
Requirements
- Production backend systems experience with a focus on reliability.
- Interest in distributed systems and writing resilient software.
- Ability to understand customer needs and own problems end to end.
- Comfort working through ambiguity, sharing work in progress, and adapting to feedback.
- Clear communication skills and willingness to take production responsibility and participate in on-call.
- Deep relational database expertise is a nice-to-have, particularly for complex queries and performance optimization.
