Responsibilities
- Scope machine learning projects and assess their technical feasibility through client interaction.
- Implement machine learning methods for real-world use cases.
- Contribute to the internal AI stack and open source ecosystem.
- Collaborate with data, backend, and frontend engineers to build production-ready AI solutions.
- Drive machine learning projects from ideation through production.
- Independently scope, plan, manage, and deliver complex technical projects.
Requirements
- MSc or PhD in computer science, machine learning, or a related technical field.
- Strong Python programming skills and experience with deep learning libraries such as PyTorch.
- Experience with one or more of Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure.
- Proven ability to independently complete complex, real-world technical projects.
- Experience in time series analysis and at least one of computer vision, natural language processing, graph neural networks, reinforcement learning, or causal inference.
- Experience with sound engineering practices including version control, clean code, code review, testing, CI/CD, and automation.
- Ability to interact with clients, understand their problems, and design and explain complex technical solutions.
- Fluency in English; German is a plus.
