Responsibilities
- Become a domain expert in an area of Stripe’s payments stack.
- Find automated solutions and implement tool updates to drive operational efficiencies.
- Engage with Stripe's financial partners to drive alignment on product usage and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Organize and direct complex technical changes and projects between Stripe and partners.
- Identify and automate inefficient manual processes through code changes or partner agreements.
- Design anomaly detection systems to ensure reliable data flow.
- Collaborate with engineering, accounting, and product teams to trace billions of dollars in transactions.
- Handle inquiries from internal and external technical teams, requiring detailed investigation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a technical role such as Technical Operations or Software Engineer.
- Experience managing communications and workflows with technical and non-technical teams.
- Ability to write high-quality code, primarily in Ruby and Java.
- Comfort using SQL to navigate data and diagnose issues.
- Ability to build operational processing and tooling from scratch.
- Comfort with developer tools like git and making code changes in Stripe's codebase.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills and ability to understand complex systems.
