Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, maintain, and improve scalable applications, services, and core platform capabilities for member-facing healthcare experiences.
- Design and develop modern web applications using PHP, Symfony, and React.
- Design database schemas, optimize SQL queries, and develop automated test code using PostgreSQL.
- Deploy and maintain containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Build and support cloud-native solutions in Microsoft Azure and troubleshoot applications in Linux environments.
- Improve the scalability, availability, performance, and operational efficiency of systems and data-processing workflows.
- Provide code reviews, create engineering tasks from product requirements, and provide technical leadership to a small engineering team on projects.
Requirements
- At least 2.5 years of computer science industry experience.
- At least 3 years of engineering design and software development experience specializing in member-facing applications and services.
- At least 3 years of experience developing applications with PHP and Symfony.
- Experience developing modern web applications with React.
- At least 3 years of experience designing database schemas and writing optimized SQL queries with PostgreSQL.
- Experience deploying and managing applications with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Experience building and supporting applications in Microsoft Azure environments.
- Working knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and command-line tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
