Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies covering functionality, performance, scale, security, and user experience.
- Create and execute automated and manual test scripts for web, Angular-based, API, and distributed-system applications.
- Drive end-to-end automation using Selenium, Cucumber, REST Assured, and related technologies.
- Perform root-cause analysis, document defects, and work with developers and stakeholders to resolve quality issues.
- Collaborate with business analysts, business stakeholders, developers, and cross-functional teams to define requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Use performance testing tools to assess system throughput and scalability.
- Participate in code reviews, promote quality and knowledge sharing, and contribute to testing process improvements.
- Train and mentor junior testers and manage their performance.
- Identify project risks and issues, escalating matters to vendors or management when needed.
- Support risk controls, policy implementation, technical communities, and compliance-related activities.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for web and Angular-based applications and with Playwright.
- Thorough knowledge of behavior-driven development using Cucumber and feature files.
- Experience with API automation tools including REST Assured, Postman, and Karate.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab.
- Extensive knowledge of the testing lifecycle, core testing techniques, test approaches, and manual testing.
- Experience implementing test strategies and frameworks for complex, high-throughput distributed systems.
- Understanding of non-functional and performance testing tools including JMeter and LoadRunner.
- Ability to design databases and write complex SQL queries.
- Ability to identify issues and risks affecting delivery timelines and escalate them appropriately.
- Strong organization, oral and written communication, and technical documentation skills.
- Banking compliance domain experience and knowledge of financial products such as equities or commodities are preferred.
- Experience mentoring junior testers and managing team performance is required or expected within the role scope.
