Responsibilities
- Implement and improve Secure Software Development Lifecycle practices across engineering teams.
- Embed security controls and automated security testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Help secure AWS-based environments, Kubernetes, and other cloud-native platforms.
- Assess cloud security risks and provide practical remediation guidance.
- Analyze vulnerability findings, determine business risk, and establish remediation priorities.
- Provide application security guidance, secure coding recommendations, and security design support.
- Manage and enhance security tooling integrated into development and operational environments.
- Support proof-of-concept activities, platform integrations, security automation, and developer enablement.
- Collaborate with Platform Engineering, Central Engineering, and development teams to drive secure-by-design practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience in DevSecOps, Security Engineering, Application Security, or Cloud Security roles.
- Strong understanding of modern software development practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience securing cloud-native environments, preferably AWS.
- Experience with Kubernetes and container security.
- Experience implementing security controls within software delivery pipelines.
- Strong understanding of vulnerability management processes and remediation workflows.
- Knowledge of application security concepts and the OWASP Top 10.
- Experience collaborating with engineering teams in an advisory, enablement, or security engineering capacity.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, independent execution, and initiative-driving skills.
- Preferred experience with CSPM platforms, KSPM solutions, AWS and GCP security practices, GitLab Ultimate, Infrastructure as Code, security automation, large-scale enterprise organizations, AI-enabled development environments, and relevant security certifications.
