Responsibilities
- Design and build end-to-end AI-powered applications, including retrieval pipelines, LLM orchestration layers, backend APIs, and user-facing interfaces.
- Own the software development lifecycle from requirements and architecture through testing, deployment, and post-launch iteration.
- Integrate LLM APIs, vector databases, retrieval-augmented generation, and agentic orchestration into production applications.
- Evaluate AI models and retrieval approaches, define evaluation criteria, and improve production performance.
- Own CI/CD pipelines, containerisation, observability, secure cloud deployment, and architectural documentation.
- Contribute reusable components and shared engineering standards to the AI platform.
- Work directly with business teams and AI product managers while communicating progress and risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Track record of shipping, debugging, and improving production software used in real operating conditions.
- Strong Python proficiency and experience with REST APIs, cloud deployment, and containerisation.
- Hands-on experience with LLM APIs such as OpenAI or Anthropic and retrieval or vector database systems.
- Solid understanding of software architecture, testing practices, and production operations.
- Experience with agentic orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or AutoGen is advantageous.
- Frontend development experience with React and TypeScript is advantageous.
- Familiarity with the Architecture, Engineering and Construction industry, infrastructure, enterprise workflow domains, or AWS, Azure, or GCP environments is advantageous.
