Responsibilities
- Architect, design, develop, test, and maintain secure microservices, data aggregations, data models, alerting, and analytics.
- Select and operate appropriate document, relational, graph, and big-data stores for platform data requirements.
- Orchestrate near-time and post-aggregation data flows and optimize SQL, map/reduce, queue-processing, and related data-flow operations.
- Ensure data integrity, availability, and security across microservice communication and storage layers.
- Implement Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code for consistent provisioning and lifecycle management of Azure resources.
- Develop and maintain secure, automated deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps.
- Analyze diagnostics, observability, logging, telemetry, and tuning data to assess system health and performance.
- Collaborate with architects, product managers, and DevOps teams on system roadmaps and security and privacy compliance.
- Conduct code and design reviews focused on performance, security, and maintainability.
- Provide technical mentorship to engineering peers and promote continuous improvement.
- Drive innovation in AI-assisted automation, context-aware security, and data-driven decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least five years of backend development experience in Python.
- Experience with Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with microservices and Kubernetes container orchestration.
- Proficiency designing and maintaining relational and NoSQL databases, including Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, query optimization, and transactional consistency in distributed environments.
- Expertise implementing Infrastructure as Code with Terraform for Azure Cloud.
- Practical experience integrating AI/ML systems using the Model Context Protocol or similar AI frameworks.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Deep understanding of cloud security, identity management, and privileged access control.
- Experience with database performance tuning, replication, and high-availability configurations is preferred.
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures, service meshes, API gateways, and observability frameworks such as Datadog and Grafana is preferred.
- Knowledge of Zero Trust architectures, secure software lifecycle practices, AI-enhanced security, automated policy enforcement, or data compliance management is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaborative skills.
