Responsibilities
- Architect, design, develop, test, and maintain secure microservices, data aggregations, data models, alerting, and analytics.
- Select and operate appropriate document, relational, graph, and big-data stores for complex data workloads.
- Orchestrate near-real-time and post-aggregation data flows and optimize SQL, map/reduce, queue-processing, and related pipeline performance.
- Monitor diagnostics, observability, logging, telemetry, and system health while ensuring data integrity, availability, and security.
- Implement Terraform infrastructure as code for Azure resources and maintain secure automated deployment pipelines with Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate with architects, product managers, and DevOps teams on roadmaps and security and privacy compliance.
- Conduct code and design reviews focused on performance, security, and maintainability.
- Mentor engineering peers and drive innovation in AI-assisted automation, context-aware security, and data-driven decisioning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of backend development experience in Python.
- Experience with Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with microservices and Kubernetes container orchestration.
- Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases, including Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, query optimization, and transactional consistency in distributed environments.
- Expertise using Terraform for Azure infrastructure as code.
- Experience integrating AI/ML systems using the Model Context Protocol or similar AI frameworks.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Deep understanding of cloud security, identity management, and privileged access control.
- Preferred experience includes database performance tuning, replication, high availability, event-driven architectures, service meshes, API gateways, Datadog or Grafana observability, Zero Trust, secure software lifecycle practices, AI-enhanced security, automated policy enforcement, data compliance management, and Agile software development.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
