Responsibilities
- Develop and debug code to identify and fix performance issues.
- Analyze production workloads and system performance metrics to identify bottlenecks.
- Build proof of concepts and translate successful ones into solutions for performance enhancement.
- Maintain a platform focused on improving performance, resilience, and quality of products.
- Impact business across product verticals through your work.
- Develop deep expertise in Fivetran's product, infrastructure, and platform.
- Communicate and align strategy with engineering team members to improve processes.
- Engage in design and code reviews to ensure efficient solutions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience building and scaling high-throughput, low-latency distributed backend systems.
- Deep expertise in Java performance engineering, including profiling and tuning.
- Familiarity with performance testing frameworks and load simulation.
- Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and systems design.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native infrastructure and containerization.
- Demonstrated experience influencing technical direction across teams.
