Base Salary

$111k - $236k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own delivery of cloud platform and infrastructure capabilities across multiple government initiatives.
  • Set technical direction and lead architecture and design for scalable, secure, and sustainable Azure Government platforms.
  • Establish and evolve DevSecOps, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and automation practices.
  • Review and approve solutions, balancing delivery speed, quality, security, risk, and long-term platform health.
  • Manage risks, dependencies, and issues across delivery efforts and influence stakeholders across product, engineering, and leadership teams.
  • Coach, develop, and delegate to engineering talent while strengthening team capability.
  • Promote operational excellence through continuous improvement of processes, tooling, and ways of working.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of engineering experience working with private or public cloud IaaS, PaaS, and/or SaaS.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) and Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305).
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code and CI/CD using tools such as Bicep, Azure DevOps, ARM templates, or Ansible.
  • Experience building and operating containerized workloads with Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Container Apps, or Helm.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure networking, including VNets, subnets, NSGs, UDRs, routing, load balancing, and hub-and-spoke topologies.
  • Understanding of cloud security, least privilege, identity-driven security, network segmentation, encryption, logging and monitoring, NIST, and FedRAMP.
  • Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Azure RBAC, Entra ID RBAC, PIM, and managed identities.
  • Hands-on Windows and Linux administration, troubleshooting, hardening, patching, performance tuning, and security baselines such as DISA STIG.
  • Practical automation experience with PowerShell; Python or similar scripting languages is a plus.
  • Experience with government security frameworks and delivery in Agile environments such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively on distributed teams.
  • Preferred qualifications include ability to obtain and maintain Top-Secret Security Clearance, AWS or GCP experience, Git-based source control, advanced Azure networking, Azure Policy, multi-tenant or multi-subscription design, additional Azure or Kubernetes certifications, and Red Hat Ansible certification.
