Responsibilities
- Develop, design, implement, maintain, and support high-volume, low-latency Java applications.
- Engage with Business Analysts to understand platform requirements.
- Integrate software components into fully functional systems and participate in code reviews.
- Provide production support and investigate issues using code and Splunk logs.
- Apply security and privacy design principles.
- Understand application architecture, design patterns, performance tuning, and scalable microservices architecture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience; an advanced degree is preferred.
- 9–13 years of experience as a Java developer or programmer.
- Required experience with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Angular, HTML, CSS, JSON, and JavaScript.
- Experience with Hibernate or iBATIS, Oracle, SQL, JDBC, RESTful web services, and microservices architecture.
- Understanding of the JVM, memory usage, performance testing and tuning, and MVC and other architectural patterns.
- Experience with Kafka, caching technologies such as Hazelcast, Ehcache, or Memcached is a plus.
- Strong experience with SDLC, DevOps processes, CI/CD tools, Git, and production troubleshooting.
