Responsibilities
- Support the development, testing, and validation of embedded software for engine, powertrain, and vehicle control systems.
- Participate in software requirements, design, coding, debugging, integration, simulation, unit testing, and system testing.
- Develop and maintain software models and algorithms using MATLAB/Simulink and implement software functions in C.
- Investigate product software problems, determine causal mechanisms, recommend actions, and own resolution of moderately complex issues.
- Deliver verified software features, components, and builds to product teams.
- Support software development processes, tools, quality standards, and engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional product and software development teams on requirements, architecture, design, testing, and issue resolution.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and requirements-related artifacts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Automotive Engineering, Engine Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of embedded software development and vehicle or engine control systems.
- Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink and C programming.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in automotive software development.
- Relevant experience from temporary student employment, an internship, co-op, extracurricular team activities, or an early-career technical role is preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools is preferred.
