Responsibilities
- Investigate product software problems, determine causal mechanisms, recommend actions, own moderately complex resolutions, and document results.
- Develop, implement, test, verify, and release software features, components, and builds that control Cummins products.
- Contribute to software requirements, specifications, architecture, design, and test decisions affecting product quality and performance.
- Use and improve software development processes and tools, including coding, compiling, integration, static analysis, and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
- Collaborate with product, software development, and cross-functional teams and coordinate work among technicians or temporary student employees when needed.
Requirements
- Entry-level or early-career professional able to execute established software engineering processes while developing technology and product knowledge.
- Ability to contribute across software requirements, architecture, design, implementation, testing, and release.
- Ability to investigate technical problems, make decisions on moderately complex software components or systems, and own resolution.
- Ability to collaborate across teams and influence work-group outcomes.
