Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable full-stack solutions across frontend and backend systems.
Design and build secure, scalable RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend services.
Build and maintain high-performance React and Next.js applications, including server-side rendered and SEO-friendly web applications.
Collaborate with UX and design teams to deliver consistent, intuitive, accessible, and responsive user experiences.
Review engineers’ pull requests and mentor them on coding standards, scalability, architecture, and best practices.
Manage application deployments across Dev, QA, UAT, and Production environments.
Provide rotational or on-demand production support focused on system stability and issue resolution.
Ensure high unit, integration, and UI test coverage and enforce quality gates.
Champion responsible AI-assisted development for code generation, refactoring, testing, debugging, documentation, and productivity.
Work with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver complex technical initiatives and recommend solutions for security, scalability, and high availability.

At least 6+ years of engineering experience.
Significant experience with Java, preferably Spring Boot, along with React JS and Next JS.
Experience with server-side rendering, static site generation, API-driven development, scalable RESTful APIs, and microservices.
Experience building applications from concept and architecture through development and production deployment.
Knowledge of MVC, MVVM, layered architecture, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
Experience with authentication and authorization technologies including OAuth, JWT, and SSO.
Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and observability tools.
Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database technologies, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
Proficiency with Git and understanding of web performance optimization, accessibility, and responsive design.
Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, or similar platforms, including validating generated code and protecting confidential information.
Strong communication, attention to detail, cross-team collaboration, and stakeholder-alignment skills.
US insurance-domain experience, including group benefits, billing, claims, or enrollment, is an advantage; familiarity with MetLife, Sun Life, or similar insurers is preferred.
