Responsibilities

  • Design and develop user-space applications on Embedded Linux platforms for energy storage systems.
  • Implement and maintain Modbus RTU/TCP, CAN through Socket CAN, and Ethernet-based industrial communication protocols.
  • Perform new board bring-up and hardware validation.
  • Develop multithreaded, event-driven applications using IPC, shared memory, and socket programming.
  • Debug communication issues using Wireshark, CAN analyzers, and protocol tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, debug, and test product features.
  • Create design, unit test, and integration test documentation.
  • Participate in code reviews and technical discussions and improve firmware development processes.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with Embedded Linux user-space development.
  • Strong C programming skills are mandatory.
  • Hands-on experience with ARM Cortex-A or MPU-based systems.
  • Experience with multithreading, IPC, shared memory, and TCP/UDP socket programming.
  • Good understanding of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus and CAN.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • Preferred qualifications include software design and library development experience, object-oriented concepts, Agile methods, knowledge of computer security vulnerabilities and protection techniques, Git, Yocto, and TI microprocessors.
  • Advanced degree is preferred.
