Responsibilities
- Build ReactJS portals, Flask-based APIs, and batch interfaces used across GenLogs applications.
- Integrate open-source and proprietary data sources into the platform.
- Develop tools, automation, and test infrastructure to improve accuracy, reliability, and performance.
- Contribute to production and QA infrastructure and help ensure system stability and scalability.
- Shape software architecture and contribute to complex system design decisions.
- Collaborate with product, data engineering, and data science teams to deliver solutions.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle from requirements and design through deployment and maintenance.
- Write maintainable code, conduct code reviews, and uphold engineering standards.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical and production issues with urgency and ownership.
- Mentor junior engineers through coaching and feedback.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience, preferably with high-transactional and distributed systems.
- Full-stack engineering proficiency in Python and JavaScript technologies, including Flask, ReactJS, CSS, and HTML.
- Expert-level SQL fluency, including schema design, query optimization, execution-plan analysis, and work with large-scale datasets.
- Experience designing and implementing APIs.
- Strong understanding of database design and object-oriented programming concepts.
- Experience designing robust, multi-tiered, and scalable architectures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including effectiveness in remote and distributed teams.
- English proficiency is required.
- Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks is a plus.
