Responsibilities
- Own software-enabled solutions deployed to customers and optimize delivery of end-user value.
- Design and implement scalable software with an evolutionary architecture and reusable components across product lines.
- Develop software running on and off robotic platforms, including autonomy, simulation, data processing, payload integration, and command-and-control capabilities.
- Design and execute development processes covering delivery, iteration, testing, monitoring, operation, and sustainment of vehicle and mission software.
- Create software- and hardware-in-the-loop test and simulation fixtures.
- Support vehicle manufacturing and deployment.
- Serve as a technical lead and mentor within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
- Travel up to 20% to co-locate with end-users and/or other teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
- Extensive professional experience as a Software Engineer with expertise in one or more relevant domains or technologies.
- Systems and/or application programming skills covering algorithms, data structures, concurrency, scaling, testing, infrastructure, software design, and system design.
- Experience troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systems.
- Ability to work across the software stack and through design, implementation, operation, and sustainment.
- Ability to technically own a software service, including stakeholder engagement, requirements, roadmap management, coordination, design, implementation, sustainment, and evolution.
- Ability to mentor junior team members and build team cohesion and capacity.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
- Preferred experience delivering military mission systems in a senior role.
- Preferred experience with C++, Rust, Go, TypeScript, React, horizontally scaled cloud technologies, embedded robotics software, modeling and simulation, safety-critical software, and product delivery through manufacturing, acceptance, deployment, and sustainment.
- Familiarity with Systems Engineering concepts and interest in progressing toward Staff Software Engineer, Software Engineering Manager, or Tech-Lead-Manager responsibilities.
