Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain SQL scripts, views, stored procedures, and Snowflake database objects.
- Build and support data transformation, processing, and ETL/ELT pipelines in Snowflake.
- Implement business rules, data transformation logic, source-to-target mappings, and data validation.
- Develop reusable components and frameworks, and assist with query tuning and performance optimization.
- Analyze and resolve defects, support releases and enhancements, and troubleshoot data-related issues.
- Create and execute unit tests and support integration testing, user acceptance testing, data reconciliation, and release validation.
- Monitor production jobs and workflows, investigate incidents within agreed SLAs, and participate in root cause analysis and preventive actions.
- Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, QA Engineers, Senior Developers, architects, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in team planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of related experience.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of SQL and database concepts, data warehousing principles, and Snowflake architecture and development features.
- Familiarity with ETL/ELT concepts, data transformation, Git or version control systems, and structured and semi-structured data formats.
- Basic programming knowledge in Python, Java, or similar languages.
- Preferred exposure to Snowflake Streams, Tasks, Snowpark, or Snowpipe.
- Preferred experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, attention to detail, and ownership skills.
