Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable services and product experiences for personalized learning, coaching, and associate development.
- Develop generative-AI coaching capabilities that understand context, provide relevant guidance, and adapt to individual needs.
- Connect associate capability and performance signals to appropriate development interventions and build closed-loop systems that improve recommendations over time.
- Translate experimentation and emerging models into reliable production systems with Product and Science partners.
- Make foundational architecture decisions for a greenfield product space and determine how existing Amazon capabilities can be reused or evolved.
- Design APIs, data models, and integration patterns connecting associate development capabilities with Customer Service systems.
- Build experimentation, measurement, and observability mechanisms to evaluate associate and customer outcomes.
- Deliver secure, reliable, globally scalable systems with strong operational performance.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years covering the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
