Responsibilities
- Design and build tools for risk-signal monitoring, anomaly discovery, transaction and account investigation, and entity relationship analysis.
- Develop and productionize LLM-powered applications and AI agents for intelligence collection, retrieval, investigation, evidence synthesis, and report generation.
- Build platforms and workflows connecting risk-signal collection, proactive detection, intelligence enrichment, investigation, and risk strategy feedback.
- Own the technical design and delivery of services, data pipelines, and APIs while improving reliability, performance, observability, and data access controls.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, data, and risk teams on priorities, design reviews, code reviews, technical knowledge sharing, and production improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Approximately 5 years of professional software engineering experience designing, delivering, and operating production systems or substantial components.
- Strong proficiency in at least one of Python, Go, or Java, with sound knowledge of data structures, algorithms, software design, testing, and debugging.
- Experience building backend services, data-intensive applications, or analytical platforms, including proficiency in SQL and complex-dataset investigation.
- Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into technical designs and own delivery through deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, ownership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Preferred: experience in payments, fraud detection, risk management, trust and safety, risk monitoring, intelligence analysis, or investigation workflows.
- Preferred: hands-on experience with LLM applications or AI agents, retrieval-augmented generation, tool calling, workflow orchestration, and model-output evaluation.
- Preferred: experience with risk monitoring systems, intelligence platforms, investigation tools, analytical workbenches, knowledge retrieval, entity or graph analysis, large-scale data processing, batch or streaming pipelines, and distributed systems.
- Preferred: demonstrated impact on risk discovery, analyst productivity, intelligence quality, internal-tool adoption, or technical support for other engineers.
