Responsibilities
- Design and deliver production-ready LLM-first autonomous agents using structured outputs, stateless tools, and auditable reasoning.
- Build multi-agent orchestration systems with bounded authority, graduated autonomy protocols, and traceable agent-to-agent handoffs.
- Enforce runtime authority boundaries, idempotent actions, retry safety, validation, and escalation to human oversight.
- Create comprehensive agent test suites covering normal, adversarial, and boundary-condition scenarios.
- Integrate agents with enterprise systems through APIs, event queues, workflow orchestration, and Model Context Protocol interfaces.
- Implement audit trails capturing rationale, tool calls, inputs, outputs, and human authority chains for regulatory review.
- Monitor agent latency, reliability, reasoning quality, drift, and escalation rates in production.
- Document agent architectures, limitations, authority definitions, compliance controls, and reusable patterns for the CoE knowledge base.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to shared standards for agent architecture and prompt engineering.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience building production software systems.
- At least 1 year of experience with LLM-integrated or agentic AI applications.
- Experience delivering AI agents or LLM-integrated features in production environments.
- Experience with LLM integration, prompt engineering, structured outputs, and tool use.
- Proficiency in Python, asynchronous programming, type annotations, Pydantic data modelling, and pytest.
- Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns including event-driven architecture, API gateways, service meshes, and saga patterns.
- Experience with agent orchestration frameworks, workflow orchestration, ORM-based database access, and container deployment.
- Understanding of idempotency, retry safety, graceful degradation, AI auditability, and explainability.
- Basic awareness of EU AI Act high-risk system obligations.
- Experience in regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare, or industrial operations is preferred.
