Base Salary
$240k - $285k/yr
Responsibilities
- Identify and resolve high-impact technical problems and cross-team gaps across Travel & Expense.
- Set technical direction through design reviews, architecture decisions, and hands-on engineering work.
- Partner with Staff Engineers and Engineering Managers across expenses, travel, policy, and spend controls to align direction and unblock execution.
- Mentor senior engineers, improve team design and delivery practices, and develop future technical leaders.
- Bring an AI-forward mindset to organizational building, review, and operational practices.
- Contribute to technical strategy and inform leadership investment decisions.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with technical leadership across multiple teams or a group.
- Ability to identify and drive ambiguous, cross-cutting problems to resolution without a defined charter.
- Deep experience designing and operating large-scale backend systems in production.
- Strong collaboration skills and a track record of raising the bar for engineers while working effectively with individual contributors and managers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
