Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and maintain enterprise spatial databases using Postgres/PostGIS.
- Design, build, and deploy custom Python geoprocessing tools and services.
- Extend functionality of Esri Enterprise GIS systems by managing server environments.
- Monitor system performance and implement optimizations for global operations.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for geospatial tools and services.
- Collaborate with various teams to align backend architecture with operational needs.
- Establish and promote best practices for geospatial data engineering.
Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Proven experience with relational and spatial databases, particularly PostgreSQL and PostGIS.
- Exceptional skills in Python and SQL for backend geospatial data manipulation.
- Hands-on experience with Esri Enterprise Architecture.
- Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS or QGIS.
- Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and version control (Git).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
