Release Engineer - Data Plane

Responsibilities
- Plan and execute rolling upgrades across tens of thousands of ClickHouse clusters.
- Own the full release pipeline from pre-upgrade validation to post-upgrade monitoring.
- Investigate and resolve production issues as part of an on-call rotation.
- Build and improve internal tooling for reliable database operations.
- Collaborate with core database and cloud infrastructure teams to address operational pain points.
- Support and educate other engineering teams on internal tools.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience operating stateful distributed systems in production.
- Hands-on experience running upgrades or maintenance on live production data stores.
- Strong production debugging skills under pressure.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and Kubernetes.
- Software development experience in Go or willingness to learn.
- Experience with ClickHouse preferred.
