Base Salary
$202k - $224k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement APIs serving location and inference capabilities.
- Improve location accuracy and sensor-data processing in collaboration with the team.
- Design and build data pipelines supporting machine-learning workflows.
- Design and develop improvements to Uber’s location accuracy and coverage.
- Document novel algorithms for improving location coverage and document system architectures and algorithms.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience developing and deploying production systems.
- Knowledge of compilation steps and the ability to troubleshoot them in Go, C, C++, or Java.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with software engineering best practices.
- Preferred experience with geospatial data, location-based services, sensor-data processing and analysis, Go, Java, distributed systems, and big-data pipelines such as Flink and Spark.
