Responsibilities
- Design and build AI-powered intelligent systems using classical AI methods such as search, planning, ranking, retrieval, reasoning, constraint satisfaction, and knowledge representation.
- Develop scalable backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and orchestration layers for production-ready AI applications.
- Build and maintain search, ranking, recommendation, retrieval, and knowledge management systems.
- Integrate AI capabilities with enterprise applications, APIs, databases, document repositories, and workflow platforms.
- Apply context management, memory systems, and human-in-the-loop patterns to create reliable and safe production systems.
- Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to translate ambiguous problems into measurable technical solutions.
- Evaluate AI techniques, architectures, and tools for practical value, reliability, scalability, and business impact.
- Participate in design reviews and code reviews and contribute to engineering standards.
Requirements
- Solid understanding of classical AI, including state-space and heuristic search, A*, beam search, forward and backward planning, partial-order planning, constraint satisfaction, and optimization.
- Hands-on experience in one or more areas such as search and ranking, planning and scheduling, recommendation engines, rule engines, expert systems, or knowledge-based systems.
- Experience building AI applications such as semantic search, document intelligence, information extraction, recommendation systems, conversational AI, or enterprise decision support.
- Strong programming skills in Python and working knowledge of Java or a similar general-purpose language.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, computational complexity, object-oriented design, and design patterns.
- Experience building production-grade APIs, microservices, data pipelines, or event-driven systems.
- Understanding of distributed systems, databases, concurrency, scalable backend architecture, security, reliability, observability, and maintainability.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, logging, monitoring, REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience or familiarity with SQL and relational databases, NoSQL databases, vector databases, graph databases, ETL/ELT, cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, and Kafka.
- Preferred experience with RAG, vector search, embedding-based retrieval, ontology and knowledge graph integration, agentic workflows, tool calling, multi-agent systems, AI evaluation and monitoring, NLP, document intelligence, or conversational AI.
- Preferred familiarity with LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, or AutoGen and with LLM-based agent architectures.
