Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain AI, automation, and data integration tools for engineering processes.
- Write maintainable software using Python, C++, Java, SQL, or other relevant languages.
- Build and test integration and automation tools while gathering and validating business requirements.
- Integrate engineering toolchains such as Teamcenter, NX, Cameo, and Ansys through APIs and data structures.
- Develop solutions using varied data sources, databases, APIs, cloud services, and containerized environments.
- Define capability roadmaps, identify automation opportunities, and document current and future workflows.
- Create technical documentation, code comments, developer guides, user documentation, and training materials.
- Provide technical support and training to business consumers and engineering teams.
- Collaborate with engineering, information assurance, digital technology, customer, and cross-functional teams, including deployment in classified spaces.
- Mentor more junior team members and participate in solution exploration, development, deployment, and testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and possess or be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.
- Strong scripting and programming capability in Python, C++, Java, SQL, or similar languages.
- Proficiency in Windows and Unix/Linux programming environments.
- Deep understanding of data concepts, data integration practices, APIs, and web services.
- Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-based solutions.
- Knowledge of SDLC methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, Git, and collaborative development practices.
- Background with engineering tools and data structures, including PLM, systems engineering, and CAD workflows.
- Ability to map business processes, capture requirements, scope technical solutions, and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred graduate degree in engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Preferred 1–3 years of relevant work experience.
- Preferred knowledge of TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, database design and optimization, SQL and NoSQL systems, RESTful APIs, microservices, distributed systems, DevOps, and infrastructure as code.
- Preferred ability to execute development projects independently and solve technical challenges effectively.
Benefits
- The role is preferred onsite at the customer’s Evendale, Ohio facility, with possible offsite support and some travel.
- The position is embedded at a customer facility and may require work in integration and test facilities or classified spaces.
- CONUS travel may be required from time to time, listed as approximately 10%.
- The role involves prolonged computer work and may require lifting or pushing up to 25 pounds and traversing integration and test facilities.
