Responsibilities
- Drive systematic and tactical improvements to engineering quality, reliability, robustness, design, and practices.
- Make and guide long-term technical decisions that produce scalable and maintainable systems.
- Partner with product teams to design, define, and shape new banking product offerings.
- Solve complex customer problems and respond to customer needs.
- Research and prototype new product ideas and opportunities.
- Contribute to a culture of engineering excellence, ownership, and collaboration.
- Mentor and coach engineers and support their professional growth.
- Provide technical leadership across time zones and collaborate with product, commercial, and engineering leadership globally.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of engineering experience designing and building software.
- Prior experience as a Senior Staff Engineer or Tech Lead in a comparable technology company.
- Experience serving organizations of approximately 30 engineers.
- Proven track record designing, building, scaling, and running large and complex engineering systems.
- Prior experience with financial infrastructure, ideally in issuing, banking, treasury, or embedded finance.
- Experience coaching and mentoring engineers and driving technical discussions to sound conclusions.
- Experience working cross-functionally across product, engineering, and commercial functions is preferred.
- Strong customer focus, engineering judgment, and ability to balance cost efficiency with long-term sustainability.
