Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software solutions supporting Global Markets front- and middle-office functions.
- Build hands-on applications using Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, SQL, and complex database queries.
- Work with Sybase ASE and SQL Server, including stored procedures, temporary tables, and basic database optimization.
- Use Unix commands and Python or Shell scripting for file handling, string manipulation, pattern searching, and related tasks.
- Work with messaging infrastructure such as Solace and scheduling infrastructure such as Autosys and Cron.
- Collaborate with globally distributed technology teams and business clients in a matrix reporting environment.
- Respond to changing front-office business priorities and provide status reporting under strict deadlines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's, master's, or higher degree in computer science, engineering, or a similar field.
- At least 7 years of demonstrable hands-on software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL, Java, Hibernate, Spring Boot, Sybase ASE 16, and SQL Server.
- Experience handling complex SQL queries, stored procedures, temporary tables, and basic database optimization.
- Basic Unix command-line skills, including file handling, string manipulation, and pattern searching.
- Understanding of Solace, Autosys, Cron, software design principles, and design patterns.
- Skill with Python and Shell scripting.
- Understanding of business intelligence technologies such as Power BI and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Understanding of capital markets products including swaps, futures, equities, and bonds, plus margin trading.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to work professionally with global teams under strict deadlines.
