Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, operate, and continuously improve platform engineering solutions.
- Develop software and CLI tooling, support CI/CD pipelines, and enhance development workflows, build systems, and release automation.
- Administer and improve Bazel or other large-scale build systems and develop infrastructure tooling.
- Own technical problems end-to-end while considering performance, reliability, observability, operability, and testability.
- Participate in root cause analysis, incident investigation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Diagnose and resolve issues across internal systems and downstream dependencies in collaboration with other teams.
- Contribute to product and platform roadmaps, technical discussions, engineering standards, and tooling improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Experience developing software in Linux or macOS environments and using Go.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, preferably Go, with strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and system design.
- Familiarity with distributed systems, modern software architectures, Git-based workflows, Docker, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud Platform.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with scalable distributed systems, platform engineering, GitOps, CI/CD, OCI artifacts, test infrastructure, build systems, Kubernetes clusters, infrastructure automation, developer productivity tooling, or open-source projects.
- Stand-out qualifications include Bazel experience, AI application development with LLM platforms, CLI and developer workflow development, Kubernetes Custom Resource Definitions and controllers/operators, complex infrastructure troubleshooting, and internal engineering productivity initiatives.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, prioritization, and continuous-learning skills.
