Base Salary
$155k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement complex, high-quality full-stack features across backend services, APIs, lambdas, and frontend systems.
- Plan work with AI agents, articulate intent, and rigorously review AI-generated code for correctness.
- Set team standards for AI-assisted code review and verification.
- Lead small to medium-sized technical initiatives, including coordinating dependencies and stakeholder communication.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers through code review, pairing, and direct feedback.
- Monitor production behavior, identify regressions, and improve code quality, processes, and team norms.
- Make timely reversible decisions, escalate irreversible decisions early, and own delivery outcomes.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience building web applications, backend services, and APIs.
- Strong PHP/Laravel experience is preferred.
- Experience using AI agents as a default starting point, including planning prompts, evaluating output, and determining appropriate review effort.
- Ability to evaluate architectural trade-offs, make defensible decisions, and own software outcomes in production.
- Experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, and driving cross-functional alignment.
- Experience working closely with product managers and design teams and handling challenging stakeholder conversations.
