Base Salary
$150k - $280k/yr
Responsibilities
- Serve as the hands-on technical lead for Discovery from problem framing and architecture through implementation, launch, and production monitoring.
- Design and build full-stack web journeys that help individuals and small teams discover, evaluate, purchase, and begin using Speak.
- Lead cross-repository integrations across authentication, payments, entitlements, analytics, attribution, CRM, and admin experiences.
- Partner with product, design, analytics, Marketing, Sales, and adjacent engineering pods to define scope, sequence dependencies, and deliver end-to-end outcomes.
- Set high standards for privacy, security, payment correctness, observability, performance, and resilient rollouts.
- Evolve architecture and development patterns while protecting conversion and revenue across high-traffic global funnels.
- Create QA and verification loops that enable AI-assisted contributors to ship safely.
- Mentor engineers and raise the team’s standards for technical judgment, communication, and ownership.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience building high-quality, production-scale web applications.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Node.js, with deep Next.js and Postgres experience preferred.
- Track record leading ambiguous, multi-system initiatives while remaining hands-on in architecture and implementation.
- Experience designing APIs and backend services, working with relational data, and defining clear system boundaries.
- Experience building reliable transactional or stateful workflows with attention to data integrity, idempotency, observability, and safe rollouts.
- Strong product and business judgment for translating growth or B2B objectives into pragmatic scope and measurable outcomes.
- Experience with web payments, subscriptions, billing, invoicing, entitlements, identity and access, B2B account models, or provisioning is preferred.
- Experience with analytics, attribution, experimentation, CRM, marketing technology integrations, or internationalized web products is preferred.
- Excellent cross-functional communication, mentoring ability, and interest in AI-assisted development with rigorous verification.
