Base Salary
$175k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Implement and scale Waymo’s core trip platform for ride-hailing, delivery, and first-party and third-party B2B partner use cases.
- Design and implement partner-facing API services for customer-hailing scenarios, including trip requests, pickup and ride-time calculations, and ride pricing.
- Collaborate with external partners to build Waymo experiences on third-party platforms.
- Develop expertise in and use Google technologies such as OnePlatform API, Borg, Spanner, and Flume, along with custom-built systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 3 years of experience programming in backend coding languages.
- Experience building backend applications and APIs.
- Experience with C++ is preferred.
- A master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
- Experience developing low-latency, large-scale, user-facing distributed systems is preferred.
- Transportation, mobility, or autonomous vehicle domain knowledge is preferred.
