Responsibilities
- Design, build, and evolve the citizen-developer platform and tools for creating and operating automations and applications.
- Establish secure software development lifecycle guardrails so compliance and security are built into citizen-developer applications by default.
- Build self-serve development and operations tooling that reduces dependence on central platform engineers.
- Design, build, and maintain Temporal-based workflow infrastructure supporting multi-tenancy, high availability, and cost effectiveness.
- Contribute to the Kubernetes and GitOps foundation using ArgoCD, Helm, and Terraform.
- Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions.
- Join the on-call rotation for workflow-related services, lead incident response, and drive long-term fixes.
- Document standards, best practices, and reference architectures for teams building on the platform.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in software or platform engineering, building and operating backend or platform services in production.
- Hands-on experience with at least one strongly typed backend language such as Golang or Java, plus familiarity with Python or Bash for tooling and automation.
- Experience designing and building internal platforms or developer tooling used by multiple teams, with a strong focus on developer experience.
- Experience with Kubernetes and GitOps tooling, ideally ArgoCD and Terraform.
- Experience supporting non-product engineering users or low-code, no-code, or citizen-developer environments is a strong plus.
- Experience with Temporal or similar workflow and orchestration systems such as Cadence, Step Functions, or Airflow is a huge plus.
- Experience with large-scale stateful workloads such as Redis clusters, Cassandra, or HBase is a huge plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and translate platform constraints into clear APIs, contracts, and paved paths.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive complex technical problems to completion.
