Base Salary
$265k - $351k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and lead mission-critical agentic systems using LLMs to automate workflows and improve user experiences.
- Own the multi-year enterprise strategy for integrating LLMs across internal and customer-facing software applications.
- Define the company-wide roadmap for cognitive automation, including information extraction, summarization, and question answering.
- Establish architectural patterns, engineering standards, and production practices for scalable, fault-tolerant, observable distributed machine learning systems.
- Drive technical consensus and represent the organization’s technical direction with executives, engineering teams, and external forums.
- Partner with machine learning engineers, product teams, and senior leadership to align requirements and deliver strategic solutions.
- Mentor engineers across levels, shape hiring strategy, and serve as the final technical bar-raiser for senior and staff-level hires.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D. degree in computer science, machine learning, or a related field.
- 15+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, including deep expertise designing and building large-scale distributed systems.
- Extensive hands-on experience architecting and deploying complex LLM-based agentic applications in production at enterprise scale.
- Demonstrated company-wide and ideally industry-recognized technical impact.
- Strong expertise in Golang and deep proficiency in Python or similar languages.
- Expert knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, scalable distributed systems, machine learning principles, algorithms, and evaluation metrics.
- Proven experience owning mission-critical backend software design, deployment, and operation in high-stakes production environments.
- Exceptional communication, influencing, consensus-building, and organizational technical leadership skills.
- Passion for machine learning and natural language processing, with experience translating advanced research into business impact.
