Responsibilities
- Initiate and drive technology, software, product, and solution development using deep technical expertise.
- Act as the R&D point of contact for complex product and technology issues.
- Lead design discussions, architecture reviews, project planning, and software quality initiatives.
- Drive engineering best practices, coding standards, and development quality.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and foster technical growth.
- Collaborate with product management, system architects, QA, and customer-facing teams.
- Lead projects from requirements through deployment and production support.
- Analyze, debug, and resolve complex system-level challenges.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, electronics, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- 10–13 years of experience with expert-level C++ programming, particularly C++17 and CMake.
- Intermediate-level Python programming knowledge.
- Experience with Embedded Linux or Yocto-based Linux distributions, including bootloaders, kernel modules, and cross-compilation.
- Experience with Linux-based software development, including the Linux command line, filesystem hierarchy, and shell scripting.
- Understanding of networking concepts including DNS, DHCP, proxies, and subnets.
- Knowledge of IoT protocols such as MQTT and networking protocols such as HTTP and TCP/IP.
- Experience working with IoT devices and understanding of cybersecurity best practices.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, mentoring, and technical leadership abilities.
