Base Salary
$230k - $286k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Design and implement large-scale, distributed, cloud-native systems with high reliability and performance requirements.
- Provide technical leadership across multiple teams and shape system architecture and long-term technology direction.
- Partner with architects, product leaders, and digital product managers on platform roadmaps, shared services, and customer experiences.
- Mentor engineering community members and senior engineers while driving professional development.
- Establish coding standards, design patterns, observability practices, and reliability practices across teams.
- Lead architectural design reviews and influence enterprise-wide technology standards and strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 3 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred experience includes a master’s degree, 9+ years coding with multiple listed programming languages, and 5+ years with open source frameworks.
- Preferred experience includes front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, synchronous and asynchronous APIs, databases, cloud technologies, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing frameworks, and Git-based version control.
- Preferred experience includes troubleshooting cloud environments, mentoring senior engineers, observability, performance optimization, architecture reviews, coding standards, reliability practices, AI-based coding tools, and large-scale technical initiatives.
